OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL AND MINISTRY OF JUSTICE PARTICIPATES IN THE MAIDEN RESULT FAIR PROGRAMME
The Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice participated in the maiden ‘Result Fair Programme’ which was organized by the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation in collaboration with the Ministry of Information. The programme was held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The Result Fair Programmeamong other things sought to promote interactions between the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies and the citizenry and particularly to showcase the implementation of the government’s flagship programmes and its impacts on the people of Ghana.
The Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice used the platform to exhibit in infographic messages some key result areas which the ministry has recorded since 2017.These included: the Establishment of the Office of the Special Prosecutor, Passage of some essential Bills and improved transparency and responsiveness of the justice and administrative systems.
The office also mounted in its exhibition stands, the new procedure for business registration (One Stop Shop) which has since 2017 reduced the number of days for registering businesses from 14days with 8 steps to 4days with 3 steps. Additionally some six (6) high profile corruption cases involving 25 accused persons (including a limited liability company) on trial was displayed.
The ‘Result Fair’ which started on Tuesday, 14th January 2020 and ended on Thursday 16th January, 2020 was with the theme; ‘Delivering Results for our citizens: A Work in Progress’.
